Relationship Counselling |
Maintaining a healthy relationship is a life-long commitment. Regardless of our age or life experience, relationships will continue to challenge us throughout our lives.
Deciding whether or not you want to work at it ....
Its only natural that sharing your life with another human being will include dealing with problems in one form or another. The first step towards creating a healthy relationship is to gauge your own willingness to work at it when the need arises.
Relationships demand many things of us and as we grow within them, these demands change and we need to be willing to change with them. There are many ways for us to go about improving our relationships. Improving communication with one another, learning how to deal with conflicts and learning how to live together while still maintaining a healthy sense of independence and autonomy is all essential to a healthy relationship.
Counselling can help couples through the many different stages of their relationship to:
- Prepare for marriage
- Prepare for marriage the second time around
- Enrich a tired or struggling relationship
- Rescue a relationship in trouble and identify whether or not it can be repaired
- End a relationship and work through the pain of divorce or separation
Most couples leave it until their relationship has already started to break down before they consider doing anything. If you are having a problem within your relationship or in dealing with separation or divorce and feel you would like to talk to a counsellor please feel free to contact me.
